Each new Umami Burger outlet takes on its own unique design aesthetic. The Hermosa space feels breezy and bright, meanwhile in contrast Los Feliz appears industrial/Asian looking. Up above, a glimpse inside the Costa Mesa rendition which opened on Saturday inside The Camp outdoor mall. Check out that graffiti wall art which, according to OCR, relates to the the five senses: "cherry blossoms represent the sweet, ocean the salt, sun the sour, dragons the bitter, and the samurai painted of the wall the umami or savory." New to the menu here is a Tandoori Burger, for dessert there's LA Creamery ice cream, and beer/wine is coming in the near future. Stay tuned for Laguna Beach, Anaheim, and Westwood.
