Ba Restaurant co-owner and chef James Graham says that his 900-foot Highland Park eatery should open "within a few weeks." He and partner/wife Julia Latané have mostly finished construction and are now beginning to train staff. While Graham originally described the tiny restaurant as "fine French dining without the pretension," the menu lists a compendium of dishes with both seasonal and global influence. There's a lamb kefta meatballs tagine; tuna tartare with baby artichokes and black olive tapenade; alongside Arctic Char en papillote with leeks and lemon preserves. Appetizers cost between $7 and $12, meanwhile entrees run $15 to $25.
Graham plans to seve French wine and local craft beer, and two months after launch he will added weekend brunch followed by lunch. But, to start, Ba will serve dinner Tuesday through Sunday from 6PM to midnight.
