Directly next door to 11-month-old 3Twenty wine lounge on La Brea comes a new boba cafe called I Love Sweetea. Proprietor Daemon Tung estimates a mid-June debut at which point he will offer a variety of boba teas, juices, smoothies, and a selection of hot and seasonal beverages. The establishment will follow a quick-serve counter-style setup where patrons can order small savory plates (buffalo wings, calamaris, sweet potato fries) plus desserts like carrot cake, cheesecake, and cupcakes.
