Loreley is a hip German restaurant and biergarten with NYC locations in LES (2003) and Williamsburg (2010). According to its website, Loreley was "Modelled after the 'Brauhaus' in Cologne (Köln)," and an insider source shares news that owner Michael Momm will open his first LA branch on the north west corner of La Brea and Lexington in that 10+ year-old defunct flower and plant shop. Momm plans to adapt the space, inside and out, into a restaurant and bakery with a spacious outdoor patio likely to serve as a biergarten. All sorts of German plates grace the menu in NYC, from sausages to pretzels to schnitzels, served alongside this list of beer and wine/spirits. [EaterWire]
