L.A. Loves Alex's Lemonade Back With More Power Chefs

While it's still about four months out, L.A. Loves Alex's Lemonade - the tasting event organized by Suzanne Goin (Lucques, AOC, Tavern), husband David Lentz (The Hungry Cat), and biz partner Caroline Styne - which debuted two years ago drawing a highly impressive roster of chefs from around the country, is back for its third round at Culver Studios on September 29, a Saturday, as opposed to last year's event which transpired on a Sunday. The chef and mixologist list was just released, here are some big deal cookers of note: Chris Bianco of Pizzeria Bianco (Phoenix), April Bloomfield of The Spotted Pig (NYC), Michael Cimarusti of Providence, Giada De Laurentiis, Paul Kahan of Avec and Blackbird (Chicago), Donald Link of Cochon (New Orleans), Michael Schwartz of Michael's Genuine Food & Drink (Miami), Nancy Silverton of Mozza, Michael Tusk of Quince (SF), Marc Vetri of Amis and Vetri (Philly), and Jonathan Waxman of Barbuto (NYC).

Of course there will be more than enough vino to go around, in addition to cocktails by Eric Alperin of the Varnish, Neal Bodenheimer of Cure (New Orleans), Greg Lindgren of Rye on the Road (SF), Chris Ojeda of Soho House WeHo, Christian Rollich of Lucques, and Tim Staehling of The Hungry Cat.

General admission tix cost $175 ($100 is tax deductible), or roll super VIP at $1,200 ($1,000 is tax deductible) a head and score early access to the event, VIP seating, and an invite to a private chefs dinner held the evening before. Remember, this is all for a good cause, proceeds go to Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF), an organization dedicated to finding a cure for cancer. Here's how it all went down last year.
