Nine months ago Eater announced that chef Michael Cimarusti of Providence had partnered with Craig Nickoloff of the Claim Jumper chain to open Connie & Ted's in place of West Hollywood's Silver Spoon diner. While construction stalled, details slowly emerged on the forthcoming restaurant, which will manifest as a unfussy New England-style seafood-serving "shack." Now, some changes on the Plywood front. As it turns out, the longtime Silver Spoon will not be remodeled into Connie & Ted's. Instead the restaurant will be entirely rebuilt. Last week the diner was ripped down, leaving the above pictured signage and a partially empty lot on Santa Monica Boulevard at Havenhurst. Silver Spoon, RIP.
