Many, many changes for The Taste this year. Three days and five events as compared to four days and nine events last year. All taking place at The Studios at Paramount. Food & Wine magazine is no longer involved and tickets go on sale today at 10 a.m.
So, here's what is going down. Five gatherings are planned between September 1-3, each highlights a different aspect of SoCal food culture. All are set up as tasting events, which means unlimited food and drink, in addition to cooking/cocktailing demos, seminars, and panel discussions. Pick from Field to Fork, Cocktail Confidential, Flavors of LA, Dinner & Drinks, and Labor Day Picnic presented by Target. Tickets cost just $50 a pop (wow), and a limited time 20-percent discount is offered to LAT subscribers. Or, one can gain access to all events for $185. A portion of proceeds benefits Collins College of Hospitality Management at Cal Poly Pomona and the Los Angeles Times Family Fund’s Summer Camp Campaign.
