Chick's Restaurant, the oldest Mexican-Jewish eatery in LA, closes this week, reports Woodland Hills' Patch. Diana Berkman, Chick's owner, served a menu of chicken, brisket, pastrami, burritos, taquitos and quesadillas. Neighbors and longtime fans have reacted emotionally to the impending shutter. Berkman cites simple economics as the cause, "business was great here for years, but when the economy turned down we started going down with it." [Patch]
