Brian Malarkey Considers Santa Monica Resto and More

Ex-Top Cheffer Brian Malarkey and business partner James Brennan have even more plans to expand the Malarkeydom empire. After the Scottsdale searsucker outpost opens this fall, Malarkey is turning his attention to another California locale. This time in either Orange County, San Francisco or Santa Monica. Malarkey also revealed to Eater that he may have a SIXTH San Diego restaurant in the works saying, “I still have a concept I might do in the Gas Lamp, but don’t know if James will let me. Something small, casual and different than everything else.” Though Brennan tried to quickly rein Malarkey in responding with a quick “no,” Malarkey subsequently let it slip that the concept is a chicken and waffle house and Malarkey seems to very much be interested in moving forward.
