Status: Soft opened late May
So far, so good for Heywood Grilled Cheese Shoppe, five full stars on Yelp granted to the grilled cheese-devoted cafe which soft opened late last month. Some feel the $9 price tag is a tad high, though all sings words of praise ("orgasmic" and "delicioso" ) for compositions like triple cream brie with fig jam with raspberry on cinnamon raisin bread and two-year English cheddar with onion confit on sourdough. Heywood celebrates quality ingredients and unique flavor combinations in its grilled cheese sammies, also on offer are a few salads and at least one soup following the same mantra. Hours of operation run Monday to Thursday noon to 10PM, Friday/Saturday 11AM to3AM, and Sunday 11AM to 10PM.
