After many an update, Superbar Snack Bar, that new mod pastaria on Rose from chef Jason Neroni and Pitfire Pizza co-founder Paul Hibler, is about ready for its unveiling. Above, a first look inside the nearly complete space fashioned by Design, Bitches (Coolhaus), tweeted out yesterday by Neroni.
Anyone familiar with Neorni's cooking style will immediately know that seasonality is going to play a major role in all foodstuffs here. Be it smoked, spiked, or infused pastas (yes, you read that correctly) all made by hand; smaller snack plates like braised octopus, white romesco, opal mustard, and shaved fennel; or salads such as Eclectic Acres Greens with Superba ricotta, blossoms, and picked jalapeño dressing. House-cured salumi and charcuterie have their place on the menu too, as do sandwiches during lunchtime.
Whatever can be soured locally, from food to drink, will be. Thusly, all wine (10 reds, 10 whites) hails from CA. In addition to microbrews, Neroni has a fun list of beer and wine cocktails like Beer Sangria made with Belgian white, Prosecco, Chardonnay, and apricot juice. Opening date to come.
