Westchester's Truxton’s American Bistro is getting ready to open its second location in Santa Monica this summer. Co-founders John Kaufman and Tim Foley confirm that construction is ongoing. The restaurant should open in early 2013. Earlier this year, Toddrickallen spotted some early plywood for the space. Up above, the owners in front of the restaurant's new facade. Why the slow expansion? Kaufman and Foley were looking for the perfect location, and spent the last two years scouting vacant spots around town. They are also negotiating with a broker for a third location in Woodland Hills.
