Artisan coffee shop Cafecito Organico, with spaces in Silver Lake and Hollywood, brings its beans closer to the beach, shacking up tomorrow at 10 a.m. in Malibu's Point Dume Village. Interestingly, John M Sofio of BUILT, the guy who tends to tangle with the clubby scene, designing The Beverly, Trousdale, Bootsy Bellows, Pink Taco Sunset, and SHOREbar, spearheaded the aesthetic, but this actually makes sense since he is a partner in this location which is located adjacent to Bank of Books.

And file this one under aggressive expansion. On tap for the future are two OC locations, one in Costa Mesa's The Lab slated to serve in August, followed by an outlet in Anaheim’s Packing House complex. Then, outposts in Downtown, Echo Park, Venice, Pasadena and Torrance. Holy cats.
