Those who have recently hit Tsujita, NongLa, or Tatsu Ramen may have noticed the quiet storefront for Seoul Sausage Company, a lauded mom and pop seller of sausages laced with Korean flavors that, for months, has teased a Mississippi (at Sawtelle) space. LAW checks in with the sausage guys to discover that they've been filming season three of Food Network's The Great Food Truck Race (and they are apparently among the show's finalists), which explains the lack of progress at their untouched post and beam operation.
So, the latest plan for their haute dog retail outlet is to open later this month with a quick-serve deli model. On offer will be a smorgasbord of Korean-American eats, in addition to sausages, both dine-in or to-go.
