Chef Walter Manzke's Republique is clearly delayed, thusly the former Church & State star has agreed to cook a five-course dinner paired with PlumpJack and CADE wines at The Strand House in Manhattan Beach. Dinner takes place August 20 and costs $150 a head. This is the menu: Santa Barbara prawn with white corn and Thai curry; zucchini and basil risotto; loup de mer with braised little gems, applewood smoked bacon and Bordelaise sauce; roasted ribeye cap with charred eggplant, tomato confit and crispy savoy spinach; and summer berry tiramisu.
