Partners in food and drink, chef Suzanne Goin and Caroline Styne, the driving force behind a slew of acclaimed LA haunts such as A.O.C., Lucques, Tavern, and Larder on Maple, are packing their knives and corkscrews and trekking up to Santa Barbara to open a still unnamed restaurant at the Montecito Country Mart in late spring 2013.
They've hired Lucques/AOC vets Javier Espinoza and Julie Grimm as chef and GM, respectively, and Jeffery Alan Marks, the designer behind Tavern, will spearhead the aesthetic. As one would expect from a Goin/Styne getup, the eatery centers around seasonal eats in "a relaxed farmhouse atmosphere."
