A few days ago we showed a Sneak Peek of Superba Snack Bar through a colorful Hipstamatic photo tweeted by chef Jason Neroni. Today, the exclusive first look of the new pastaria on Venice's Rose Avenue from chef Neroni and Pitfire Pizza co-founder Paul Hibler. With a modern take on pasta, an affinity toward local and housemade ingredients, and a prized Pasta Extruder, Neroni will be making whimsical pastas in a variety of different shapes. The pastas will be smoked, spiked, and infused with flavors. Diners can pair the pasta selections with snacks such as braised octopus, salumi, and charcuterie.

Neroni also tweeted a preview menu item, cherry tomatoes and smoked tofu in dashi broth, a few days ago. The anticipation is palpable, with an opening date scheduled some time this month. Wines and beer will be locally sourced, with 10 reds and whites each from California. In addition to craft beers, there will be creative list of beer and wine cocktails such as Beer Sangria made with Belgian white, Prosecco, Chardonnay, and apricot juice.

Designed by LA-based Design, Bitches, the open-air space has an open kitchen, bar seating, and smaller tables creating an intimate setting. There are communal tables and street side patio that adds to the relaxed, convivial feel.
