It's really rather curious that chef Govind Armstrong, of the once Table 8, 8 Oz. Burger Bar, and the currently functioning Post & Beam, signed on to create the menu at ROFL Cafe aka Republic of Laughter Cafe. He must still have ties to the space since this is the previous home to 8 Oz. Not only that, but former Table 8 chef Jacob Wildman is executing the menu on the day to day.
This brightly lit coffee house forgoes alcohol and instead caffeinates with Intelligentsia beans and Armstrong's better bites. The global Cali melting pot of a menu offers everything from mussels and fries, roast chicken, seared tuna, and pizza ... to Armstrong's famed short rib grilled cheese sammie. ROFL is now serving daily from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
