Although it earned a solid four star Yelp rating, Taberna, the upscale Mexican restaurant which replaced Luau on N.Bedford Drive, lasted only a quick 10 months in the 90210. Hoping to save this cursed location, enter the Burns Family entourage. Doing business as Bedford & Burns, Elizabeth Burns and son Bob plus Bonnie Burns are next on board to retool the space. For those unfamiliar with the Burns Family, Elizabeth Burns is the former president of The California Restaurant Association, meanwhile her son Bob is the primary owner of LA's Marmalade Cafe chain. Vet restaurant operators. If anyone can turn this spot around, it's them.
