Clusi Batusi's Custom Pizza to Sawtelle Next Week

Signage is official up for Clusi Batusi, Sawtelle's first customizable pizza joint slated to open next week near NongLa and Tsujita LA. Under construction since early this year, Clusi Batusi is equipped with yet another one of those super hot ovens which fires dough at 1200°F and cooks pizza in 60 seconds. 800 Degrees kicked off that trend. Patrons select their toppings of choice and chef Michele Gargani puts it all together.

This small, casual abode seats 24 inside, 12 outside, and does not accept resys. Pizzas cost between $7 and $14, and the restaurant makes an effort to be as green as possible by using compostable serveware. Clusi Batusi will serve lunch and dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday.
