For those who wondered about the goings on at the old La Parrilla on Sunset, here's the word. A Mexican operation under the name Diablo Taco opened today at 11 a.m. (serving until 11 p.m.) and here's the first look inside the finished space. It's another one of those rustic industrial numbers with a central sharetable flanked by rows of twotops. Exposed brick and a back bar round out the space. Sinister Culinary Group aka managing partner Summer Stearns and chef Casey Wiele promise "exotic tastes, rare ingredients, innovative preparations and artful plating" plus local draft/bottled beers, micheladas, and sangria made from "fresh fruits and boutique local wines."
