It looks like La Brea is getting another bakery, though this time it's not named after the street. A construction report states that Twist Bake Shop broke ground on initial plumbing and other construction recently in a roughly 2,000 square foot space with high ceilings, a gorgeous skylight, and brick facade just south of 3rd Street. Steps from restaurants such as 3 Twenty Wine Lounge and Ca' Brea, Twist Bake Shop will be another feather in the cap for the burgeoning La Brea Corridor dining scene, with Sycamore Kitchen and Graffiti as other recent entrants. A quick search shows Joelle Malka Bercovitch as the principal officer for the company though more details are scarce. Look for updates in the coming weeks as signage and additional construction details poke through the paper covering the front. [EaterWire]
