Details Leaked on Spago's Revamped Menu & Design

Caroline on Crack shares details from a reliable source on the new and improved Spago opening on October 1. First off, the cocktail menu is getting the hand-crafted touch from chef Lee Hefter, similar to the ones found in other Wolfgang Puck places like CUT and Hotel Bel-Air. The opening cocktail menu will have 12 or so drinks and will eventually expand to 30. The servers will look like they're from Star Trek.

In terms of decor, they've built a wine cellar into the dining room that will completely change the feel of the space. The patio gets plush seating that'll make it seem more lounge-y, perfect for the 90210 types. And the food is going to be small plates, reflecting a more commonly found format around town. It'll be sure to shake things up with regular customers, but they're thinking it might lead to a longer dining experience. [CoC]
