It's hard to ignore the similarities between The Phoenix and Eveleigh. Starting with the cluster of trees and weathered wood paneling outside, followed by that courtyard space and those white country doors, The Phoenix is a more beer-focused version of the popular Sunset Boulevard country chic staple. Seriously though, even the bars stools look similar, and those perched bar tables, too. But, The Phoenix is offering a different experience, focused on a bar scene with quality cocktails and beers from Ryan Sweeney and his Surly Goat crew, Brandon Bradford and Alan Aivazian. Also involved here is Adolfo Suaya, who previously ran this space as Hakobe prior to its La Seine days, along with new partner old, Lonnie Moore of the Dolce Group. Right now The Phoenix is scheduled to open September 26.
