DOWNTOWN— Brigham Yen reports that Broadway's continued transformation will include the soon-to-open Figaro Bistro, a popular Los Feliz bistro and bakery. The nearly built out space needs a little bit more finish, some furniture and equipment, so a late Fall opening is likely. There's also plans to bring back a marquee inspired by the original 1940's one. [BY]
WEST LA— Westside gastropub Freddy Smalls is finally starting brunch on Sundays starting at 10AM, featuring a new coffee cocktail and standards like waffes with grilled strawberries and corned beef hash. [LAist]
CENTURY CITY— Looks like the Seasons 52 that replaced Houston's is going to take a bit longer to open, but now promises a November opening on the plywood. In the meantime, Santa Monica's location looks toward a winter opening. [Toddrickallen]
AROUND TOWN— Governor Brown signed the Homemade Food Act today, which allows cooks and bakers to legally produce and sell food out of their homes. [SI]
