Blue Plate Taco, the new Mexican restaurant from the Blue Plate family (Blue Plate, BP Oysterette), which has teased its debut since earlier this summer, is finally scheduled to open on Sunday within Santa Monica's Shore Hotel. This is the first dining attraction within the property, focused on fresh Mexican fare with locally farmed fruit/veggies and organic meats. The coastal inspired eatery was designed by Tim Clarke, with both indoor and patio seating, and a soft palette of blues, browns, and grays, brightened up with pops of colors from colorful floor tiles and chair legs. Eveleigh bartendress Kiowa Bryan created the fruity list of aguas frescas, both cocktails and mocktails made from seasonal fruit. Blue Plate Taco will serve lunch and dinner daily, Sunday to Thursday from 11:30 am to 10 p.m. and Friday to Saturday from 11:30 a.m. – 11 p.m.
