A multi-faceted team that includes The Surly Goat's Ryan Sweeney & Co, Adolfo Suaya, and Lonnie Moore has opened the The Phoenix in the former La Seine space on La Cienega's Restaurant Row featuring endless planks of reclaimed wood. The build out features a swell list of craft beers like New Belgium's Blue Paddle Pilsner, Sierra Nevada Imperial Pilsner, Port Brewing's Mongo Double IPA, and Anthem's Cherry Cider. The relatively straightforward cocktail menu hosts drinks like the Boulevardier and Pimm's Cup (full menu after the jump). Happy hour starts in two weeks, with details to come. Hours of operation are 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. daily, with brunch on the way.

The culinary action on lower La Cienega has been a bit rough lately, with perhaps only The Coop as the sole unique concept, though it's only a pop-up until the Gonpachi building is sold. Here's to hoping The Phoenix, with its country-chic ambiance, gives the boulevard a nice bump of nightlife.

Cocktail Menu:

Old Fashioned: Bulleit Rye Whiskey, simple syrup, bitters.
Boulevardier: Buffalo Trace Bourbon, Sweet Vermouth, Campari.
Blood and Sand: Johnnie Walker Black Label, Cherry Heering, Sweet Vermouth, orange juice.
Sidecar: Hennessy, Grand Marnier, lemon juice.
Pimm's Cup: Pimm's No.1, lemon juice, ginger ale, cucumber
Pegu Club: Gordon's London Dry Gin, Grand Marnier, lime juice, bitters.
Elderflower Martini: Ketel One Citroen, St. Germain, lemon juice.
Oranje Mule: Ketel One Oranje, Grand Marnier, lime juice, ginger ale.
