Public School 310 to Educate Culver City in November

New, 1 comment

The flacks for Grill Concepts LLC have FINALLY confirmed that crafty beer bar Public School will open its second drinkery late fall in place of the sadly shuttered Fraiche in Culver City. This switcheroo was rumored back in March, then verified a few weeks later when reps posted the venue's ABC notice. Over the summer word on the street was that Public School CC was slated to open around September/October, and now reps confirm an early November debut.

Back again are George Kelly and Jen Smith of Kelly Architects (they designed the original Downtown location) to retool the 125-seat restaurant and bar with a glass-enclosed open kitchen, a new dining patio, and an overall nostalgic classroom aesthetic.

Executive Chef Phil Kastel (Daily Grill) is heading the seasonal gastropub menu which, so far, includes cauliflower gratin with crispy speck, roasted beets with ricotta salata, and pressed chicken with white bean ragu. To drink, expect classic cocktails, wine on tap, and beers organized by Beer Chick Hallie Beaune.
