Hollywood staple Ammo, known for its seasonal farm-to-table Cali menu, has opened a spinoff cafe in the courtyard of The Hammer Museum in Westwood titled Ammo at The Hammer. Lunch and dinner don't stray too far from the nine-year-old Hollywood original, while the menu is mostly new, with a few Ammo staples in the mix, there's an assortment of elevated salads and sandwiches for lunch; meanwhile dinner brings a few more composed plates and several pizzas.

Partner Benny Bohm explains, "In the fall we will move forward with a kitchen upgrade and full renovation of the space that will be overseen by the Los Angeles design collective Commune, and we will completely change the environment to give the Hammer the café it truly deserves. We hope to have an official Grand Opening towards the end of the year ..." In the meantime, Ammo at The Hammer serves lunch Tuesday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.; dinner Tuesday through Friday from 4 to 7 p.m.; and weekend brunch Saturday and Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
