Paul Shoemaker, chef of the shuttered Savory in Malibu, just opened a quick serve burger place, Juicy Lucy, inside Downtown's new Figat7th mall. In an interview with Food GPS, the chef says that he's looking to bring the concept to Colorado and New York. As for LA, he's considering a more matured version of Juicy Lucy in the style of a sit-down gastropub. And, on the subject of his American Pie pizzeria, that should open in Santa Monica with a pizza and farmers market menu where all dishes are cooked in two pizza ovens. [Food GPS, previously]
