The Hudson — Beau Laughlin, Brett Cranston, and Michael Jay's neighborhood bar and American restaurant — has completed food/drink plus cosmetic adjustments and will reopen tonight after a three week shutter. This evening a soiree is planned to fete the new look with half off all specialty cocktails all night.
Changes include an exposed ceiling, a new bar top and stools, reupholstered banquettes, new lights and ceiling fans, and added communal dining. Meanwhile, on the food and beverage side, desserts now hail from Duff Goldman's Cakemix, coffee comes from Stumptown, and Mia Sarazen, who overhauled sister restaurant The Churchill's bar program, has upgraded the bill of drinks here as well. There are also a few new dishes on chef Conrad Woodul's comfort fusion menu with an added attention to farmers market produce.
