Wildcraft Sourdough Pizza Hits Culver City Late January

Wildcraft Sourdough Pizza is the new Italian spot that replaces the shuttered Le Saint Amour later this month on Culver Boulevard in Culver City. Jed Sanford, owner of Abigaile in Hermosa Beach, is behind this project and he's brining along Abigaile chef Tin Vuong to oversee lunch and dinner operations. Which include the restaurant's signature sourdough pizza crust that is born from a wild yeast and takes a couple days to make.

As its name suggests, Wildcraft Sourdough Pizza will offer up Neapolitan-style sourdough pizzas topped with seasonal California ingredients, in addition to California/Italian small plates, and California wine and craft beer.

Management is excited about their fancypants pizza oven that was built "brick-by-brick in Naples" by third-generation Neapolitan oven-builder Stefano Ferrara. And, actually, as some may recall this is the same guy who constructed Sotto's pizza oven. Which produces some pretty solid pies.

While many of the recent pizza places opening in LA have featured a more casual order-at-a-counter set up, Wildcraft will manifest as a sit down restaurant with table service. And they're hiring.
