Something is Actually Happening at Soul, New Eats at The Spice Table, More!

HOLLYWOOD—How crazy is this. There is still construction and forward progress being made at Soul in Hollywood, the soul food restaurant which first teased its existence five and half years ago. Last June, owner Yealang Smith hinted at a debut seven months out. Remains to be seen. [EaterWire]

DOWNTOWN—Chef Bryant Ng recently returned from a trip to Singapore and Vietnam with fresh inspiration for his new dinner menu at The Spice Table. Some additions are grilled beef salad, dried pho with marrow broth, and duck rice. Ng also pay homage to the late Campanile with his take on chef Mark Peel's flattened chicken. [EaterWire]
