VENICE— Venice's long-delayed Barnyard opens February 1, and the menu by Jesse Barber (The Tasting Kitchen) sounds a bit more approachable than what Jeremy Fox planned to do. Small plates and tapas include a mini cassoulet with shelling beans and sausage, potatoes roti (with an option of adding caviar), and honey-glazed ribs. Main dishes include salt-roasted prawns with olives and wilted leeks, braised sausage with cabbage and a soft poached egg, farro salad with roasted cauliflower, and pork with caramelized apples and polenta.
