Barnyard's Menu, Pop-Up at The Standard, More!

VENICE— Venice's long-delayed Barnyard opens February 1, and the menu by Jesse Barber (The Tasting Kitchen) sounds a bit more approachable than what Jeremy Fox planned to do. Small plates and tapas include a mini cassoulet with shelling beans and sausage, potatoes roti (with an option of adding caviar), and honey-glazed ribs. Main dishes include salt-roasted prawns with olives and wilted leeks, braised sausage with cabbage and a soft poached egg, farro salad with roasted cauliflower, and pork with caramelized apples and polenta. HOLLYWOOD—LA-based chefs, Nina Clemente (private chef) and Michael Reed (Xiomara), alongside famous names Marisa Tomei, Shiva Rose, Adrian Grenier and Peter Glatzer, are popping up at The Standard, Hollywood. Starting tomorrow night and until January 31, Clemente, Reed & Co. will set up a dinner pop-up inside the hotel to raise awareness of the issues surrounding GMOs and promote locally sourced and organic food. Details and RSVP information on The Standard's site. [EaterWire]

LITTLE TOKYO—Ikemen Ramen's newest location downtown opened today, notes the LA Weekly. Catch a taste of Ikeman's tsukemen, or "dip ramen," between 11:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. daily. [EaterWire]
