USC— The Melt, that grilled cheese concept from Mastermind Chef Michael Mina and Flip Cam genius Jonathan Kaplan, continues expanding much in the way it did in hometown of SF. After opening shops at Fig & 7th downtown and on the corner of Sunset and Vine in Hollywood, the chainlet is bringing out the truck bus. Now parked at USC at the United University Church, the newest Melt serves Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. [GS & Toddrickallen]

BEVERLY HILLS— Both Grub Street and Toddrickallen note new signage on side of the former Woo Lae Oak on Restaurant Row. Genwa, a Korean concept with one location on Wilshire and Mansfield is getting ready to open its second at 5115 Wilshire Boulevard. [EaterWire]

HOLLYWOOD— Tinhorn Flats, a Western-Cowboy-style saloon based in Burbank recently opened a second location in Hollywood. Owner and designer Baret Lepejian has expanded upon his original concept, adding additional cheeseburgers to the extensive menu and supplying cowpokes with plenty of libations. Now serving lunch and dinner daily, Tinhorn Flats is located just across from the Hollywood and Highland Complex. [EaterWire]
