Matthew Kang is the Lead Editor of Eater LA. He has covered dining, restaurants, food culture, and nightlife in Los Angeles since 2008. He's the host of K-Town, a YouTube series covering Korean food in America, and has been featured in Netflix's Street Food show.

Former Top Chefestant CJ Jacobson dropped a few details in this week's Food is the New Rock podcast regarding Ilan Hall's new TV show that's going to premiere on the G4 Network (which will be renamed the Esquire Network). According to Jacobson, they originally wanted to call the show Food Fight Club, after the David Fincher film, but they ended up settling on "Knife Fight." This is the show that was rumored to be Top Chef Masters when crews were recently seen filming at Hall's restaurant, The Gorbals, on a Sunday when it was closed.

In the show, there are three mystery ingredients, and then the chefs have to make three dishes using the ingredients. Action Bronson is apparently one of the judges. Jacobson dishes on his competition with Kris Morningstar, chef of Ray's at LAMCA. More details in the podcast [FitNR]
