Mid-City German restaurant Wirtshaus has a new chef onsite. German-born Kurt Ehrlich says, "I've cooked for cooked for three U.S. Presidents ... and have owned my own restaurants." Ehrlich worked at the once Tavern on the Green and Park Avenue hotel in NYC plus was EC at a Walt Disney World resort in Orlando. While his new brunch menu is currently on offer at Wirtshaus, he threatens to take "German cuisine in L.A. to a new — and possibly unexpected — level." [EaterWire]
