Check out these renderings for The Bloc, that $160 million modern redo of the old Macy's Plaza in the Financial District Downtown. Brigham Yen states that the 1.8 million square foot mixed-use project will house retail, offices, a Sheraton Hotel and obviously dining tenants as well, slated to commence construction early next year and wrap in 2015. The Bloc is also the site Eataly was rumored to consider, although Eater heard a different Italian market had eyed the property. [Brigham Yen]
