Perfecto Rocher Decamps from HRG For New Venture

New, 6 comments

Perfect Rocher, the Spanish chef who brought paella to Lazy Ox Canteen in the wake of Josef Centeno's departure, is on the move yet again. Some might recall that Rocher was supposed to chef up Taberna Arros y Vi (The Ox was just a temporary gig), however when that plan fell through the chef accepted an EC position with Hermosa Restaurant Group (HRG) at Rok Sushi & Kitchen. HRG acquired the adjacent Hibachi and word on the street was that Rocher was going to transform it into a Spanish eatery.

However, reps for HRG relay news that Rocher "is no longer with that group and has decided to take an offer elsewhere." Which means that Hibachi will not become a Spanish concept and instead HRG is looking to sell the property. No word yet on Rocher's next project.
