Ruth Reichl bravely declared L.A., "the most important place in America to eat right now," at a KCRW panel featuring the former Gourmet Magazine editor, Roy Choi, Sang Yoon, Eduardo Ruiz (Corazon y Miel), and Nancy Silverton. Also included was Joyce Goldstein, who recently released a book on California Cuisine. The discussion centered around why L.A. is so important, and three reasons were the produce, audience, and freedom from the past, or as Choi put it, "we chill like that." [LAW]
