Although SushiStop management had planned to launch their hot pot restaurant Shabu Shabu House last month, here now halfway through October and the Sawtelle cafe is mostly assembled, though appears to be collecting dust. Capturing a simple design just like that early rendering, the smallish eatery features a central U-shaped bar designed for individual cauldrons of hot broth. And per Facebook, the idea is to offer "the best and lowest priced shabu shabu in LA."
Meanwhile, there's also a new branch of SushiStop in Pasadena (58 E. Colorado Blvd.), which opened last month.
