The short-lived Gaucho Chicken Cafe has quickly flipped into Taco Love, a casual San Diego-style eatery. That means carne asada fries, and the version here is quite respectable, at least according to early Yelpage. Taco Love opened quietly earlier this month with chef David Modelo (Umami) at the helm, promising other San Diego favorites like California burritos (with fries stuffed inside), tacos and salads, all with a Chipotle-like customization process. For drinks, there's draft beer, sangria, and Micheladas. The restaurant's website promises late hours, a boon for Hollywood revelers looking to quell late night munchies.
