Menotti's Coffee Stop, the caffeinated section of a two-part concept that will eventually have a secret bar called Menotti's Saloon, started serving Venice yesterday morning. Founded by Louie and Annette Ryan and run by Christopher "nicely" Abel Alameda (Intelligentsia, Handsome Coffee), Menotti's features a polished espresso and drip coffee program based on San Francisco's fantastic roaster Four Barrel Coffee. Using a bright turquoise La Marzocco machine to pull shots, the coffee bar has the simple formula of great brew and vinyl-based tunes to with the spare walls and weathered accents. Open daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
