The renovated Hotel Normandie, in the soon-to-be hipster hotbed of Koreatown, opened quietly earlier this month to visitors looking for a refined boutique hotel experience in the heart of the city. Early on came news of local classic Cassell's Burgers moving into the historic property's confines, while more recently was a note of Gary Menes' refined multi-course experience, Le Comptoir, taking over a small space inside the lobby. Looking from the inside, Cassell's will have direct street access while Le Comptoir's diminutive eight-seat counter sits in a shoebox-like room. Both Cassell's and Le Comptoir are looking at early-to-mid 2014 openings.
