ECHO PARK— East Side Mexican fixture Barragan's, which dates back to 1961, is set to shutter by mid-December, reports The Eastsider LA. The 7,000 square foot restaurant has already been sold to a new undisclosed party. Owner Armando Barragan cites the growing Downtown dining scene and proliferation of taco trucks as reasons for loss in sales. However, fans of Barragan's can still get their margarita and taco fix at the Burbank and Glendale locations. [The Eastsider LA]

Note: Jolly music shall be provided as well. [EaterWire]
