Chef Phillip Lee over at Scratch Bar on La Cienega sends word that chef de cuisine Joel David Miller is launching a new concept within the Beverly Hills restaurant called El Mexican Food, which will eventually grow into a brick and mortar. In the meantime, El Mexican Food kicks off on October 31 from 11 p.m. to 2 a.m., Thursday to Saturday. The menu — composed of el tacos, el salsas, and el corn — is inspired by Miller's life in LA and his Gautemalan heritage. Barman Dave Fernie has sourced agave wine "tequilla" from Jalisco for drinks.
