With two restaurants up and running in LAX and Westwood Village (plus a to-go station next-door), wildly popular custom Neapolitan pizzeria, 800 Degrees, has several more locations on the horizon. There's that prime Downtown Santa Monica restaurant, another headed to Pasadena, two spots in the works for Vegas (SLS and Monte Carlo), and now 800 Degrees has flung its dough to Downtown Los Angeles, opening by summer 2014 at 800 Wilshire (the old Provecho space) with a full bar and about 100 seats.
Larger than the Westwood orginal, 800 Degrees Downtown will encompass 4,800 square feet with a separate to-go area for online and phone orders. Also, chef Anthony Carron's newly added panuozzo sandwiches will be for sale here as well. As far as the bar is concerned, cocktails will center around American and Italian classics and Carron is also planning several wines on tap.
