Thirsty Crow's Homecomin' Hottie

Eater asked five bars around the city to create special, limited time only off-the-menu Eater drinks, available through Sunday for Eater's Cocktail Week. So far Kristina Howald at Bestia will serve you a Granita Applebum and Brian Butler at Salt Air is ready with a Crown of Thorns. Today Rahad Coulter-Stevenson over at Thirsty Crow wants to warm you up with a Homecomin' Hottie for $12.

Hot drinks are a comforting way to warm up during colder months. And, it just so happens to be Homecoming season. Coulter-Stevenson's Homecomin' Hottie is a drink inspired by Homecoming season, in addition to the smell of gingerbread baking in the oven and that feeling of coming home after being outside on a windy night. He mixes Bourbon, maple syrup, Canton Ginger Liqueur, Angostura bitters, and muddles in a lemon wedge. After shaking and straining the cocktail he pours it into a Toddy mug then adds hot water to fill the glass. A dash of cinnamon and nutmeg plus a lemon wedge finish off this hot fall libation.
