Until now, Pitfire Pizza has always offered craft beer and wine as a companion to its pizzas, salads, and California-style Italian plates. However, earlier this summer Pitfire Pizza birthed a "secret" back room bar, Pie Society, serving up craft cocktails designed by bartender Steve Garcia. And as of Thursday, Pitfire on Fairfax is adding a full bar to the mix, also designed by Garcia, with a new list of seasonal fall intoxicants like Rumpkin Pie (rum, carrot simple syrup, lemon, soda) and Cold Toddy (bourbon, St. Elizabeth Allspice Dram, lemon, honey). There's also an added list of late night bar eats, too. Drop in Sunday to Thursday until midnight and until 1 a.m. on Friday and Saturday. [EaterWire]
