MID-CITY— Chef Tal Ronnen's fancy vegan restaurant Crossroads is hauling in a bunch of guest chefs to partake in a new Sunday Suppers-themed evening. Crossroads chef Scot Jones is kicking off the series on December 8 with an Italian menu, followed by a vegan soul food dinner from Art Smith on December 15. Also onboard at later dates: Adam Fleischman (Umami), Theo Schoenegger (Sinatra, LV), and Ricardo Zarate (Picca). Each meal costs $80 with an extra $30 wine pairing. [EaterWire]
SANTA MONICA— Piero Selvaggio over at Valentino reallllly loves his white truffles. In addition to that B.Y.O.T. option, which obviously stands for Bring Your Own Truffle, the restaurant is also fêting its 41st birthday with a $200 truffle dinner on December 3 at 6:30 p.m. The first three courses come decorated with fresh white truffle from Alba and to start and end guests will receive Champagne and Moscato.
